About Us
Amaya's Bakery is a full-service bakery offering small batch traditional baked goods, best effort gluten-free, and diabetic friendly goods, all utilizing farm to table ingredients.
Amaya's Bakery is newly open in Oak Harbor at the corner of Fidalgo and Dock Street. Located on the first floor of the historic Loft building, built in 1937 which was originally a barn and feed and seed store.
The philosophy at Amaya's Bakery is that by utilizing farm to table ingredients from local farmers our customers get a healthier more flavorful product. Many of the farmers and producers of ingredients we use are organic and use rotational and sustainable growing practices.
Amaya’s Bakery serves traditional small batch baked goods lovingly crafted with attention to detail.
Amaya’s Bakery’s owner Teri Harget transitioned to Oak Harbor from San Francisco Bay area in the spring of 2022. Amaya’s Bakery was born out of Teri’s love of feeding people. The Farm to table, Gluten Free and Diabetic friendly aspects of Amaya’s Bakery came about as a result of Teri being a two-time breast cancer survivor with a family member who’s diabetic.

Practices
At Amaya’s Bakery we provide Best Effort Gluten Free and diabetic friendly baked goods. Best effort Gluten free means that all items are baked with certified gluten free flour and ingredients. Best effort also means we use separate cooking and baking equipment, separate ovens, separate storage for the product, as well as separate storage for all ingredients.
Amaya’s Bakery’s diabetic friendly and gluten free items are crafted utilizing plant based zero calorie sugar substitute, or where appropriate and in some cases natural sweeteners such as locally sourced Honey, or maple Syrup.
