About Us
Welcome to our Farms
Penn Cove Farm

Our Penn Cove farm, located in Coupeville, Washington is where we grow, harvest, and package our Penn Cove mussels. On our farm, we also wet store manila clams, Kumamoto oysters, and Pacific oysters.

The cove retains a great amount of food from the nutrient-rich glacial melts within the Skagit River. By growing shellfish on our Penn Cove farm, we can provide a habitat and ecosystem for an abundance of species and contribute to the overall health of the marine ecosystem.

Samish Bay Farm

Our Samish Bay farm is located in Northern Washington, and is surrounded by an environment containing rich nutrients and algae, making this location a perfect area to raise shellfish. On our Samish Bay farm, we grow, harvest, and package Pacific oysters and Manila clams.

Once our clam and oyster seed have grown to a sufficient size, they’ll be planted along our farm beds and will be grown in a variety of farming methods. Due to the pristine environment of Samish Bay, our shellfish can thrive and develop a beautiful flavor.
Practices
Farming shellfish sustainably and supporting a healthy marine life

For thousands of years people have been farming shellfish and it has been a great benefit to our environment. At Penn Cove Shellfish, farming shellfish sustainably is our way of life and our commitment. As our company depends on clean waters to grow our shellfish, it’s our job to be good stewards of the environment. Sustainability is a lifestyle that we have followed through each area of our operation and we will continue to follow.

Penn Cove Shellfish sustainably grows and harvests Pacific Oysters, Kumamoto Oysters, Manila Clams, and Penn Cove Mussels. All of the shellfish we produce are considered green rated “best choice” certified sustainable by the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch.
