About Us
San Juan Island Food Hub is a multi-stakeholder cooperative and online Food Hub that works in a similar way to Whidbey Island Grown. SJI Food Hub offers locally grown, raised, and made products from producers on Orcas, Lopez, and San Juan Islands to residents of those same islands.
The mission of the San Juan Islands Food Hub (SJIFH) is to increase the production and sales of local food in San Juan County to support a viable agricultural economy; strengthen food security; and promote access to healthy, sustainably grown food.
Both Whidbey Island Grown Cooperative and San Juan Islands Food Hub were Food Hubs established out of Covid-19 pandemic response in 2020. Since then, they've been connecting producers and buyers across their islands, supporting small-scale food producers and the local food system.
